Often we receive images for sites that are shot on standard image formats like 6X4, 5X7 or 8X10. The difficulty with these images lies in the fact that most areas set aside for photos on a website are nowhere near the same aspect ratio of the provided images, often resulting in clumsy cropping or even stretching ( YUCK! ).

#17 - HDR

Interior architectual photography presents an extreme challenge when it comes to correct exposure. Often windows produce bright light which has to be shot next to very dark areas. The most effective way to handle these situations is with/by using High Dynamic Range ( HDR ) photography. With HDR photography, a series of shots taken with different exposure settings are blended together to form one image - properly exposed in all areas.
This method unfortunately adds post-processing time to a client's bill.
But thankfully, we have purchased newer cameras that have HDR features built into them, significantly cutting down on post-processing time!
